The outlet pressure acts on the bottom surface of the diaphragm and the bottom surface of the disc. When it exceeds the set value of the spring, it compresses the spring and causes the disc to close. As long as there is no water flow downstream, the outlet pressure will be basically maintained at the set value; When water is used downstream, the outlet pressure drops and the spring pushes open the diaphragm to open the pressure reducing valve. After continuous flow of water for a while, the opening of the pressure reducing valve produces a self-damping effect, so that the opening and closing action tends to be stable.
