Bayan Oilfield in North China drilled the deepest horizontal well in western Inner Mongolia
On May 14, Well Xinghua 1 Ping 5 in Bayan Oilfield of North China Oilfield was successfully drilled with a drilling depth of 6017 meters, a horizontal section length of 1032 meters, and a drilling cycle of 55.5 days, which broke the record of the deepest horizontal well and the shortest drilling cycle in the kilometer horizontal section of Bayan Oilfield and became the deepest horizontal well in western Inner Mongolia.
In Xinghua block of Bayan Oilfield, the sand body distribution range is large and the formation is stable, which meets the construction conditions of horizontal Wells, but the oil layer is buried at 4500 meters deep and the formation temperature is 142.7 degrees Celsius. In accordance with the principle of "one well, one policy", the oilfield geological engineering Research Center prepares the plan and strictly checks the whole process of design, construction, safety and quality. Actively carry out technical exchanges with the construction side, 24-hour resident well supervision, give full play to the synergistic effect of "1+1>2", avoid waiting dock, and shorten the construction period to the greatest extent.
Due to the need for lateral extension, horizontal Wells have much higher frictional resistance than vertical Wells and require the use of high-precision steering tools. The project team integrated and applied a series of new technologies and equipment to overcome technical difficulties. The high-build slope rotary guide tool was selected, the double-row anti-wear drill bit and the cementing attachment "shut-in valve" were applied, and the double anti-collapse measures of "physical support + chemical plugging" were adopted. Finally, an oil production "highway" was established with 519 casing tubes with a total length of 6010 meters, so that the well was not only "played", but also achieved "hit" and "played well".
